Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about what Carestify can—and cannot—do.
Where does the data come from?
Carestify generates a structured analysis using your inputs and AI-assisted reasoning tuned for Canadian used-car context. We do not claim to ingest a private, real-time feed of every dealer transaction in Canada. Instead, the report is designed to reflect widely observed market mechanics (seasonality, trim mix, mileage sensitivity) and clearly label estimates as directional guidance.
How do you handle accident history?
If you provide accident-related signals in the workflow (where available), the experience is designed to treat major structural damage and unresolved claims as higher risk to value. If you do not provide history, the report may assume a cleaner profile—so always disclose material facts when selling or trading. Nothing here replaces a vehicle history report from a reputable provider.
Is this a guaranteed offer to buy my car?
No. Carestify provides informational estimates and educational narrative. Actual offers depend on inspection, reconditioning costs, auction lanes, lender requirements, and dealer inventory strategy.
Why postal code?
Canadian pricing varies by region. Postal code helps the workflow describe location-aware market behavior—especially relevant across regional mixes like urban corridors, mountain routes, and seasonal tire/AWD demand.
